Pouring, Consolidating, and Curing

Building the Walnut Plywood Base
While the slab cures, build the base from 3/4-inch walnut-faced plywood. Plywood is the right material here: it stays flat, it is lighter than solid wood at this scale, and the veneer face matches the modern look of the concrete.
